Event Details

Meet Geoffrey Landis who is both a NASA scientist and science fiction author. In his talk, he'll cover some of the images of Mars in the work of science fiction and discuss how Mars is viewed by scientists today, including the most recent results from the NASA Mars Rovers.
Geoffrey Landis works at the NASA Glenn Research Center on developing advanced technologies for spaceflight. He is a member of the Mars Exploration Rovers Science team and a fellow of the NASA Institute for Advanced Concepts. As an author, Landis has won the Hugo and Nebula Awards for science fiction.
