Her one-person show of poetry about her transgender journey, Exact Change, was recently turned into a feature film and is being submitted to film festivals in the U.S. and internationally. As a stage play, it premiered at Cleveland Public Theatre. She has also performed it at Cleveland’s Playhouse Square, in New York City, and in Provincetown, MA. Christine has had three books of poetry published. She is also a slam poet and recently competed in the National Poetry Slam in Denver, Colorado as a member of the four-person Cleveland team. Since 2002, Christine has been the theater critic for Cleveland Scene and she also posts reviews on her blog, Rave and Pan.
Tim Joyce was born in Cleveland, Ohio. Throughout his hardscrabble childhood he was taken with cityscapes, steel mills, the trees of Northeastern Ohio, as well as the people he encountered—all of which he would sketch, draw, and paint. Interweaving music, poetry, and painting with journalism and teaching, he has found constant inspiration and a desire to express how the passage of time is imprinted on both lives and scenes. He has lived in Dublin, Los Angeles, and Berlin; presently he lives and makes his art in Cleveland.
